Official Moore County Inmate Search
The Moore County Sheriff's Office operates the Moore County Detention Center and links its inmate information tool from the county Detention Center page at moorecountync.gov/218/Detention-Center. The public jail application is labeled Moore County Detention Center and is available at webapps.moorecountync.gov/dcn/. Sheriff Ronnie Fields is the county sheriff, and the detention center is the only facility page in this project because the research found no separate active city jail, regional jail, state prison, federal prison, or ICE detention center physically inside Moore County.
The county roster is the first source for current pretrial detainees, people held on local warrants or court orders, sentenced county detainees, and people whose profile shows a local charge, court date, bond, charging agency, or arresting agency. It is not the statewide prison database. Sentenced state prisoners, probationers, and parolees are searched through the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction, while federal prisoners use the Bureau of Prisons locator and immigration detainees use the ICE detainee locator. The county does not publish a refresh schedule or a rule for how long released people remain searchable, so a missing or stale listing should be checked with the jail before relying on it.
How to Use the Moore County Inmate Roster
The Moore County Detention Center search page has three lookup paths: Inmates, Charges, and Days. The Inmates tab is the direct name search. The Charges tab is useful when the person is unknown but a charge phrase is known. The Days tab looks for admissions over a recent number of days. The public current-inmate grid is available from the roster portal and displays names as links to profile pages.
- Open the official detention search at https://webapps.moorecountync.gov/dcn/.
- Use the Inmates tab to enter a name, or choose View all inmates to browse the current roster grid.
- If the spelling is uncertain, filter the grid by Full Name, Age, Race, Sex, or Admit Date instead of relying on one exact search.
- Use the Charges tab when a charge description is known from a police report, news item, or court notice.
- Use the Days tab when the likely booking was recent and the exact name search is not returning a clear result.
- Open the linked full name to review the profile, booking photo, personal descriptors, charges, docket numbers, bond, court dates, charging agency, and arresting agency.
- Compare court dates and docket numbers against the North Carolina eCourts Portal if the question is about the formal court case rather than custody.
Moore County Roster Search Fields
The search landing page is unusually specific for a local jail roster because it supports name, charge, and recent-days searches. The current-inmate grid also has column filters and a date editor. These fields come from the public web application inspected during research.

What a Moore County Inmate Profile Shows
A Moore County profile can show more than a simple custody line. The inspected profile displayed the person's full name, booking photo, detail fields, and a charge grid. Some fields may be blank or unavailable for a particular person, and the public profile did not show a housing unit, cell block, booking number, or projected release date in the inspected sample.

Finding County, State, Federal, and Immigration Inmates
The Moore County roster covers local custody at the detention center. NC DAC states that its offender database covers state prison offenders, probationers, and parolees, with historical information back to 1972, and does not include county jail information. That distinction matters when a person has just been arrested in Carthage, Southern Pines, Pinehurst, Aberdeen, or another Moore County community. A new local booking should be checked in the county system first. A person sentenced to state prison may later disappear from the county roster and appear in NC DAC instead.

Moore County Jail Facility and Records Contact
The local facility for Moore County jail inmate records is the Moore County Detention Center in Carthage. It is a sheriff-operated local confinement facility for pretrial detainees, people committed by court order, local sentenced detainees, and people held on local warrants, bonds, court dates, or agency holds when those fields appear on the roster. The NC Jail Administrators' Association directory lists a rated capacity of 272.

Booking Process in Moore County
Moore County does not publish a detailed booking desk walk-through, but the roster and North Carolina law show the basic path. A person may be arrested by an officer, taken on a warrant or order for arrest, or committed by a court. The person is then transported to the Moore County Detention Center, identified, admitted, photographed and fingerprinted when required by law, medically or safely screened under state jail standards, classified, and placed in custody.
The public profile confirms parts of that process because it shows admit date, admit time, booking photo, personal descriptors, address, confining agency, charges, bond, court dates, docket numbers, charging agencies, and arresting agencies. North Carolina G.S. 15A-502 governs law-enforcement photographs and fingerprints. G.S. 15A-601 requires an in-custody defendant charged by magistrate's order or criminal process to be brought before a district court judge within 72 hours, or within 96 hours under the courthouse closure rule. The roster does not publish exact booking processing time or a guaranteed posting delay.
Visitation, Phone, Mail, and Vendor Channels
The county Detention Center page routes visitation and phone services through NCIC, while ConnectNetwork lists Moore County NC services for visitation scheduling and video visitation. The open county and vendor pages did not publish a complete Moore-specific schedule, dress code, ID rule, visit length, attorney visitation rule, remote video price, or phone price during research. Treat vendor scheduling as the current starting point, then confirm details with the detention center before traveling or paying for a service.

Records Requests, Incident Reports, and Sheriff App
For county law-enforcement incident reports, the Sheriff's Office services page at moorecountync.gov/219/Services says incident reports document crimes, lost or found property, and other incidents. If the incident happened in the county, the public may call the Sheriff's Office at 910-947-2931 or come by the office during weekday business hours. If the incident happened inside a municipality, the report may need to come from that municipal agency, such as Southern Pines, Pinehurst, Aberdeen, or Carthage, while custody information still comes from the Moore County jail roster.
The Moore County Sheriff's Office also has an official Moore County Sheriff NC mobile app by OCV. The sheriff's page links the app, and the store listings describe public safety news, tips, crime reporting, and interactive agency features. Research did not confirm an app-only inmate roster or app-only warrant search, so the app should be treated as a sheriff communication and tip channel, not as a replacement for the official web roster.
Commissary, Care Packages, and Inmate Funds
The official Detention Center page links Inmate Commissary to JailATM and Inmate Care Packages to the Moore County JailCanteen storefront. JailATM uses a sign-in or registration flow for deposits, and the open research did not reveal Moore-specific fees, accepted payment methods, limits, or refund rules. The care package storefront starts with resident last name or ID and shows categories including food and drink, candy and pastry, snacks, beverages, clothing, hygiene, postal items, seasonal baskets, and new or seasonal items. The storefront says to allow up to three weeks for delivery.
